12/3/1988: Eoin Doyle
Happy birthday to Amdy Faye, Carl Dickinson and Eoin Doyle – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.
Remember Faye well – more so the story behind his signing – and Dickinson pretty well but neither player will be one of those that instantly spring to mind. Think Dicko had three loans spells with Pompey didn’t he?
Doyle was not at Fratton for long and has his moments with the Blues, but all things considered he did not offer up too much really.
Now onto the games previously played.

Three of the last four for me with a bit of everything seen – a win, defeat and a draw, the Fratton defeat against Newport in 2016 is one I’ll happily forget!
Cannot remember much about the draw with Middlesbrough in 2011 but do recall the win over Birmingham – these two were also at the Park – from 2008 very well.
