Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

12/1/1962: Noel Blake
12/1/1969: Robert Prosinecki
12/1/1974: Ivica Mornar

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Noel Blake, Robert Prosinecki and Ivica Mornar – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

I know of Blake well but he was a player at Pompey before my time. Prosinecki, well what can you say. He is still one of the greatest – despite being out of shape and past his very best when with the Blues – footballers I’ve ever seen.

Didn’t really see much of Mornar, who didn’t really do much with Pompey though all things considered, did he?

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 14
Won – 5
Drawn – 5
Lost – 4

Not too many game played recently but I can claim the most recent at Coventry in 2010 when we won that dramatic FA Cup replay at the Ricoh Arena.

What are your memories of Blake, Prosinecki and/or Mornar from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
