Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

1/11/1992: Abdul Razak

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Abdul Razak – the Pompey player from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Razak came in on loan from Manchester City with a huge reputation, playing for us during our ‘problematic era,’ which probably didn’t help but what we did see from him – I would say – he didn’t live up to the hype?

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 14
Won – 4
Drawn – 7
Lost – 3

Another day with plenty of games recalled, and most in recent times pretty well, but I haven’t managed a game myself previously and I’ll not be at Bloomfield Road for the game at Blackpool today.

What are your memories of Razak from his Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

  • 07,06,89,80….One of those rare days with both a home & away win..07&06 2 draws, & wins in 89&80…at least I’m unbeaten!! Remember 80 well as I’d been to Gillingham on the Sat & won there as well…Showers scored right near the end & came rushing over to the fans…saw Razak although he only played 3 times( left back)
