As MickTait’s poll driven team nears its conclusion we look at what a recount of the forwards saw happen – read on for more.

There is a significant change in our forward line so I’m glad I ran the poll. Last time I ran this poll, which was my first one I naively forgot several key players and as a result felt it only just to re run the poll but include a few different options.

Last time I ran the poll the result gave a Walsh and Whittingham front pair however a huge downward swing for Paul Walsh saw him come in at a lowly equal 6th place. I accept that a big part of this was the change of some players, however there was a big difference in the voting for Mark Hateley who featured on both lists.

A front pairing now of Todorov and Whittingham is the final result Biley scored very highly a sign of the respect for which he is still held.

I was surprised to see Sheringham come out quite that low considering the impact his experience helped us at such a vital time. And it seems a bit of Tottenham backlash did for Crouch and Defoe.

The Final Scores were

Todorov 24%
Whittingham 22%
Biley 19%
Hateley 10%
Yakubu 6%
Walsh 6%
Kemp 3%
Nugent 3%
Quinn 2%
Sheringham 1%
Bradbury 1%
Claridge 1%
Crouch 1%
Defoe 1%

The team is mow:

GK James
Back Four Primus, de Zeeuw, Blake, Taylor
Winger Anderton
Midfield Merson, Prosinecki
Forwards Todorov, Whittingham.
Chairman Mandaric.

The next poll is for that luxury player to fit our team enjoy.
