MickTait looks at what his poll about the ‘out of contract players’ found, with plenty of his own thoughts included – read on for more.

Which of these do you ‘want’ to keep at FP, their contracts are up at the end of the season?

David Nugent 41%
Herman Hreidarsson 27%
Danny Webber 26%
Darryl Flahavan 3%
Billy Goddard 1%
Peter Gregory 1%
Perry Ryan 1%
Ellis Martin 0%

This time I am going to try and break my report into three sections.

1. Those who I do not believe will stay anyway.
2. Those I wish would go away.
3. Those who if we receive a good offer we might sell.
4. Those who may stay.
5. Younger Players.

Those who I do not believe will stay anyway. David Nugent – I believe he would have signed by now. He would have to agree to a significant pay cut, however who else will pay him that much every week?

Those I wish would go away. Tal Ben-Haim – Please just resolve it this leach has got to go. If we can lose him on a free great 38k a week for stuff all equates to £152,000 per month extrapolate that over the rest of his contract.

Those who if we receive a good offer we might sell. Liam Lawrence – If a Premiership club offers around 1 million he will want to go and BC would bite their hand off.

Joel Ward – A deal like the one which saw Marc Wilson one move to Stoke will see him gone a real setback.

Hayden Mullins – Last year of his contract, another Championship club offering £750k+ with a four year deal will see him gone.

Those who may stay. Herman Hreidarsson – On a three year deal similar to Kanu’s, with development into coaching.

Danny Webber – On a Two year pay as you play deal.

Daryl Flahavan – He is obviously happy with the terms of his current deal which must be within our current wage cap or he would have been gone by now on a one year deal.

Younger Players. The younger players who I do not feel qualified to do justice. I have never seen any of them play. However 16/17 year olds need to start to break into the first team for the medium to long term future of the club, even if it is as a result we become in few years time a selling club of whom other clubs clamour for our young players and we do not end up giving them away for a pittance like Nadir Ciftci this year.
