Most Impressive Performance So Far

|

Tom Naylor was one of the Pompey additions in the summer and the former Burton man has played his part in an unbeaten start to the campaign, including his performance in Tuesday’s win at Coventry.

His delight was expressed on social media, which also saw him praising the part the travelling fans played too.

Yes, the Blue Army, almost 2,000 of them, were superb but Naylor’s own performance has been highlighted. Thoughts on his showing ranged from “the best player on the pitch” to him being “excellent.”

The common consensus though was Naylor, when showing his best performance for Pompey so far, was the best player on the field at the Ricoh Arena.

Naylor, seen as an underrated commodity, certainly played his in the win with a late goal-line clearance ensuring Pompey returned to the south coast with all three points from a 1-0 win at the Ricoh Arena.

Having arrived at Fratton Park with a decent reputation, Naylor’s probably slipped under the radar so far. However, the experienced and proven campaigner certainly showed his full worth on Tuesday, which I’m sure he’ll continue to do going forward.

A serial promotion winner, all being well he’ll add another this season with us!
