The ‘Niko Kranjcar to Arsenal rumours’ just will not go away will they – or maybe it is just a case of the same ‘rumours’ just doing the rounds over and over…

The Mirror are running this again, with his Dad again claiming that he will be off. He will apparently be a £12m replacement for Alexander Hleb, who could be on his way to Inter.

Whilst I do feel that Kranjcar is an Arsenal type player I do not remain convinced that this will happen this summer, although should we be offered something like £12m for him as much as I want to see our best players kept we would have to take it wouldn’t we?

Another ‘rumour’ today is linking Richard Hughes with Palace.

Hughes has said that he is happy with us, and he knows that he is a squad player. I hope that he stays but the possible chance of getting more regular football could tempt him though, particularly if they go up via the play offs so he will stay in the top flight…

All in all these could both happen, but until contracts are signed I will not believe anything!
