When Ben Thompson came to Fratton Park it was anticipated the Millwall loanee would be a near ever-present for Pompey, wouldn’t it?

Ok, we can’t say he hasn’t been, but he has had a battle with Ben Close for that starting place in the middle of the park. However, it was Thompson who got the nod at Wimbledon, which pleased the social media posters, who praised his outing.
You were on another level today! ????????????????

I still believe we’ll do well to keep Thompson, most definitely beyond the end of his loan, as Millwall aren’t going to sell. In fact, I could see him going back to the Den in January, when the Lions are able to recall him, should the Championship side wish.
From the sounds of it, Millwall fans can’t wait to have him back in South London, where they feel he belongs.
Glad your doing well Ben ????

Yes, I think we can say the Millwall fans love him. Then again, Thompson’s starting to get quite a good following from the Fratton faithful too, which will leave many of us hopeful the midfield can spend the remainder of the season with us.
