Before the closure of the loan transfer window towards the end of 2012 Pompey tried to bring in Frankie Sutherland on loan.

I believe that this failed, late on, due to a ‘problem with the paperwork?’

Well, this deal has been resurrected and his loan arrival from QPR secured on Monday – a 1-month youth loan has been signed.

I could be wrong; although I think that the key point in this loan is that it is a ‘youth loan’ as I think that youth loans do not carry the same 3-month restrictions that regular loans do?

You can only loan a player for a maximum of 3-months back-to-back, youth loans I do not think that they carry such restrictions so I think this may well allow us to keep renewing his loan to therefore keep him – if all want this – until the end of the season on renewed monthly deals…

Whatever, we know the 19-year-old midfielder has arrived and will almost certainly make his Pompey debut at the weekend and will be with us for the next month at least.
