Lua Lua has responded to criticism from Harry Redknapp this week by telling Pompey fans; “I`ll repay you.” He has hailed Pompey fans the best in the country and claims he will return to the form that made him a fans favourite.
Lua told The News;
‘For me the fans are the best part of Pompey. They recognise and appreciate what people do for the club. After the things I went through, to have them support and encourage me is a great thing and something I treasure.
‘I thank them a lot from the bottom of my heart. They have always been there for me and gave me such a great reception against Middlesbrough.
‘That was no surprise because I know what they are like. I have been here for a while and know that they appreciate when I play I give my best which is 110 per cent. I have been in and out for the past year but now my fitness is returning. I just want to say ‘thank you’ and score goals.’
A nice gesture from Lua Lua and I would (and have) put money on him scoring the first goal today. He owes us a performance but the whole side owes us a performance.
