Glen Little recovered from his pre-season injury scare at Bournemouth to feature in our Nigerian tour, and he came on for the injured John Utaka yesterday as we lost to Manyoo.

Harry Redknapp had praise for him, but is disappointed with others who he says are not performing to the level he is looking for them to be doing so this season: ‘I thought Glen Little had a good game for us. He showed what he can do and I really think he’ll be a good signing.

‘There were one or two other things too, but a few of the players were poor.

‘United were a class apart, especially Paul Scholes. What a player.

‘They moved the ball around like we couldn’t. It showed we are going to need a few players to get through the season.’

I was not able to watch or listen to the game, so I do not know much about it at all so cannot really make much comment, but if Little performed well it would not surprise me as like I have said before I too believe he will be a good signing, and a better one than many might think.
