The injury news for Pompey is good news, as the Pompey Site reports that Linvoy Primus is back in training and has come through the past couple of days unscathed, so all being well he will be able to return very shortly.

Lauren, Sol Campbell, Noe Pamarot, Dejan Stefanovic, Niko Kranjcar – the latter two are yet to feature at all so far this season – and Pedro Mendes are all currently sidelined, but are also getting closer to returns.

Physio Gary Sadler is hopeful that Harry Redknapp will have a few available by the time we go to Arsenal in a couple of weeks time, with it still believed that some could even return for our trip to Chelsea this weekend – speaking of Chelsea, if you have not yet made a prediction in the prediction league you can do so by clicking here.

Sylvain Distin has not done badly for Pompey at all, but the sooner Primus can return the better. It is likely that Distin and Campbell will be the number one pairing at the back but I would feel a lot happier with Primus coming in to cover for injuries. Then as we know he rarely, if ever lets us down, so once he is back in it will be hard to leave him out again.

It may be too soon but I hope that he is ready for Chelsea on Saturday as I think we will need him, then again hopefully Campbell can also return as we need him too.
