We get to know a little more about Tantona.
1 – Vital Pompey username?
Tantona – It’s a play on Cantona….a nickname given to me at college (no, obviously I don’t support Manure!)
2 – Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
Lived in and around Pompey all of my life.
3 – How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
Was lurking for quite a while and then joined….probably a couple of years ago. (Written in early February 2008.)
4 – What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
Always liked being able to put opinions forward and discuss all the latest issues affecting our team with like-minded fans….and sometimes fans from other clubs.
5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
Was one of the hits I discovered on newsnow.
6 – When did you first watch Pompey live – not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
Many, many moons ago my dad took me along to see Pompey at Fratton against the mighty Chesterfield…..must have been around ’82 or ’83….we won 4-0…..Biley and Dillon were among the legends who took part in the slaughter.
Even at that tender age the atmosphere had me hooked for life.
7 – How often do you get to watch Pompey?
99% of home games (had a season ticket for many years now) and a rare away game now and again.
8 – Who is your favourite Pompey Player – current and/or former?
Would have to be Linvoy – no matter how often he gets written off, he comes back with stunning performances and proves everyone wrong…..I’m sure many said he’d never cut it in the Prem.
9 – What is you favourite Pompey moment?
Easy….4-1 at home to the scummers!……the best game Lua will ever play.
10 – What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
The sky’s the limit…..I like to try and keep my feet on the floor, but ‘Arry (and the unseen background staff) keep improving our squad with inspired signings that beggar belief.
