We get to know a little more about stillthewhizz.
1 – Vital Pompey username?
stillthewhizz although I prefer to be referred to as just ‘Whizz’.
2 – Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
Pompey born and bred since 1986. One of Vital Pompey’s younger members. I’m at uni at the moment in Epsom but I come back home every weekend.
3 – How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
6 or 7 months I think. (written in early January 2008)
4 – What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
The best web site for talking about Pompey. I was attracted by the personal views of ‘the landlord’ and the sensible replies in the posts. BBC 606 is too much of a playground and the other sites are just too poorly executed. However I think there’s too much disparity between the news posts and the forum.
5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey? – News Now like everyone else but unlike the other sites on News Now, I kept coming back to Vital Pompey.
6 – When did you first watch Pompey live – not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
My dad took me to a few games in the early 90’s but I think the earliest game I remember is an away game at Swindon which sent them down I believe, 2-0 to Pompey.
7 – How often do you get to watch Pompey?
Every home Premier League game and I normally fit a minimum of 5 away games a season.
8 – Who is your favourite Pompey Player – current and/or former?
Currently it has to be Niko Kranjcar. I saw the potential when he first touched a ball and I would have said Manuel Fernandes had we not fluffed about with that one. In the past it has to be John Aloisi, which may sound like a strange one but he has Italian ancestry like me and I think I just wanted to put on a Pompey shirt and be like him.
9 – What is you favourite Pompey moment?
Pompey 4-1 Saints. Pompey 7-4 Reading. Pompey 1-0 Burnley. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we’d be where we are today after languishing in the First Division for so many years.
10 – What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
To keep developing firstly as a team and secondly as a business. In terms of league position, I’d like us to one day be the best out of the teams below the top 4.
PLAY UP POMPEY!
