We get to know a little more about NinjaTim.

1 – Vital Pompey username?
NinjaTim.

2 – Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
Farnham, Surrey

3 – How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
Since October 2007.

4 – What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
Superb – so many fan sites are full of abuse and cretinous comment. You guys, as well as displaying a passion for Pompey, seem to know your football and will at least listen to other people’s opinions.

5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
Google.

6 – When did you first watch Pompey live – not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
29/10/07 v Reading!

I’d been a Gooner since 1971 (but always had a soft spot for Pompey from days of watching Southern Soccer when, living in Sussex, it would be on instead of The Big Match). Used to get to Highbury from time to time through the “boring, boring Arsenal years” but have a cat in Hell’s chance of watching them live now – try getting a ticket for the Emirates without paying a shed load of dosh just to go on the lowest level of membership (and still having no chance of a ticket).

A mate of mine convinced me to take in a game at Fratton Park – devoid of corporate phoney fans and simply rocking to the passion of the beautiful game…..little did we know that we’d be at such an historic game. Suffice to say, at the age of 46, I’ve been converted. My nine year old daughter loves the idea of supporting Pompey instead of Chelsea (like all the other kids at her school)…she’s nuts about Benji and even she can tell McClown why Jamo should be England’s keeper.

7 – How often do you get to watch Pompey?
Hoping to get to a game at least once a month, work and other half permitting.

8 – Who is your favourite Pompey Player – current and/or former?
Current is a toss-up between Benji and Sol. Former would be Paul Merson or Mark Hateley.

9 – What is you favourite Pompey moment?
Benji’s second goal against Reading and singing “We want eight!” v Reading.

10 – What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
I’d have money on Pompey winning one of the domestic cups this season. Top 10 in the league is realistic, indeed, anything less would be disappointing, but ambition should certainly be for top 6 with this squad.

By the way, anyone who’s not read it should get a copy of ‘The Football Man’ by Arthur Hopcraft, written in 1968. Widely acclaimed as the best ever book on football. Try eBay.
