  • good to get to know alittle more about you Highland_Pompey – and finally someone has done the alan partridge ‘knowing me knowing you’ reference, i thought it would never happen… even tho we have some fantastic footballers now, and will probably have some even better ones in the future i think prosinecki is secured as my best ever – ive still to this day to see a better player than him, when i say that i mean in the flesh, on tv i could say i have but at a game ive never seen better…

  • Nice to meet you Highland_P. Used to work with a Ross County fan called strangely Ross!! but he moved to Plymouth even stranger!! How is the Dingwall area?

  • Nice to meet you HP

Inverness and beyond is a long way from Pompey but at least you have Wolfstone on your doorstep.

Nice to have a different favourite moment as well

  • anyone remember Prosinecki toying with the Bradford defence? His step-overs were like watching an adult playing with a toddler

  • Inverness… If I went that far up north my nose would start to bleed and my hair would fall out……. Good to met ya Highland and welcome back to vital Pompey…

  • Yes what was your previous sign on or is that retained in confidence ? Strange selection of ‘DEFOE’ as current favourite. With only a few games under his belt I would have thought you would have looked elsewhere. Has the Highland air got to you ol’ mate. Mind you I do strange things, in December I wore a Pompey shirt in a Celtic pub in Glasgow and nearly got asked to leave as it was mistaken for Rangers apparel. I told them that I was born in Portsmouth but my Dad was a Celtic Glasweigan. Of course I lied but I got to drink with them…

  • Highland Pompey here ! Thanks for all the comments reference my KMKY – AHAAAAAAAA.
Yes, perhaps the Highland air has got to me. Defoe was a knee jerk reaction – I would probably have to go for David James as current favourite. Glad that so many agree with the Prosinecki choice. That free kick against Palace was miles better than Beckham could ever do. I was stunned when we signed him, and just thought that he was worth the season ticket fee alone for one great season of drag backs. At times I thought he would light up a fag on the pitch – he was that laid back. Does anyone remember the one tackle he made, and the standing ovation he got for it? Priceless.
Dingwall area is okay – Ross County are doing well this year and will probably win the 2nd Div title. I haven’t been to any games yet, as I still yearn for watching Pompey – wouldn’t seem right to watch another team. I wore an Icelandic bobble cap out one day, and that got mistaken for a Rangers hat – agree that you have to be careful with colours. And no, I wasn’t Fen in a previous life – think it was PompeyGav.
Nice to meet you all – PUP
