2 – Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
Come from Pompey, live in Hammersmith (been in London since 1984, still have family home near Fratton Park.)
3 – How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
June 2008. (This was written in July 2008.)
4 – What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
It is the first port of call for information and a mixture of passion yet good sense.
5 – How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
Googled, I think.
6 – When did you first watch Pompey live – not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
At Aldershot 1978 – my mates were all going to see Grease at the pictures, my dad and I were taken to Aldershot by his mate Bob in his rusty VW and I threw up on the way home. I didn’t get to see Grease until 1987! But was a season ticket holder from 1979-1984
7 – How often do you get to watch Pompey?
Not much at all – only at Fulham last season. BUT…have gone straight back to season ticket mode for next year so will get all home games and some London aways.
8 – Who is your favourite Pompey Player – current and/or former?
David James/Colin Garwood.
9 – What is you favourite Pompey moment?
October 1979 – goal by Phil Ashworth by Bradford City in 4-1 victory – he’s on the edge of the box with his back to the goal, chests the ball into the air, turns 180 degrees and volleys into the top corner. Time seemed to stand still as we watched. Will never forget.
10 – What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
Top six finish; a good showing in UEFA next year
