Dean Kiely has yet again hit out at the way he was treated at Portsmouth. “Deano” joined Portsmouth in January 2006, when Harry Redknapp re-joined from Southampton.
Kiely played an important part in keeping Portsmouth in the Premiership with some fantastic performances during our impressive end of season. When David James was bought in from Man City last summer, Kiely was injured and he never regained his place.
‘The last five months at Portsmouth were shocking. I was treated very shabbily.”
‘I’m not an old keeper with a big fat backside who’s out to graze. I have a goal to play until I’m 40 and I fully intend to do that.’
Do you think Kiely has been badly treated by the club? In my opinion he lost his place because of an injury and James hasn`t deserved to be dropped.
