Hit or Miss 4 Pompey?

Well with the amount of players we have been linked with since the premiership has stopped. Who do you reckon will be a hit and miss?

Peter Crouch – Tall, good strength. The big man and little man would be a interesting factor for Portsmouth especially with them being full English internationals. With Crouch we will be assured with goals as he hits around 10-15 goals a season. If Harry could pull this one off I reckon this could be exciting times for Portsmouth F.C.
Verdict: Hit

Ivica Olic – This bloke reminds me of a Benjani, he works hard for the team as shown for Croatia in Euro 2008, he leads the line chases every ball, he will get goals as well but only about 10 a season. He would be a good acquisition for the team but he wants first team football.
Verdict: Miss

Djibril Cisse – This is a player I like gets goals, thundering pace also a powerful shot. He is known for dodgy haircuts but also in trouble off the pitch. He says he wants to leave Marseille and wants uefa cup football what we can offer, his agents says a move to Portsmouth would be a good one. He has premiership experience as he played for Liverpool but he broke his leg, which ruled him out for half of the season. I reckon he and Defoe will be a good partnership so if Harry pulls this off I would be happy but he is a bit injury prone.
Verdict: Miss

Eidur Gudjohnson – Once again a player who I like can play as striker or in a centre midfield role. Once again scores goals but not enough. He has premiership experience with Bolton and Chelsea where he hit 72 goals in total for both clubs and is also a captain for Iceland. He wont be at Barcelona next season as he wont figure in their future plans. Once a gain hope this happens as he adds experience to the side.
Verdict: Hit

Shaun Wright-Philips – A great little player who can go round a player with skill or speed. Has lots of assists wherever he has been, doesn’t score many goals but who needs a midfield to score goals when they have loads of assists? Once again a full England international when he plays at Chelsea but doesn’t play much, mostly used as sub. He also puts effort in unlike John Utaka. Harry Redknapp has spoken about his liking of Wright-Philips but Chelsea would want around £10 million.
Verdict: Hit

Jonas Gutierrez – Argentinean player who is a winger who can play on either flank. Plays for Real Mallorca. Known for his goal celebration where he puts on a Spiderman mask. He is quick with good ball control. Redknapp as been linked with him all last season but it has gone over last couple of months as we have been put off by his price tag. Think Harry could get his wish now.
Verdict: Hit

Nathan Dyer – A player who I have watched a few times when playing for Southampton. Stands out a mile with his speed he is like a little version of Shawn Wright-Philips. Can also have a eye for goal. Has been linked with Chelsea as he is a free agent. Harry Redknapp knows the kid having worked with him during his time at Southampton and knows what he is capable of doing. Could be one for the future.
Verdict: Hit

Sidney Govou – A French winger or striker plies his trade in Lyon. He has pace and good technique. Played in the French cup final where Harry was watching he caught the eye with a great performance and a nice goal. Also played the other night for France against Holland where he came close on a couple of chances. Would be a good player for us as he is a player with everything.
Verdict: Hit

Younes Kaboul – A French defender who has been represented at each level. Can play as centre back or in midfield as he goes on fantastic runs with the ball. Very young but tall as he stands at 6ft 3 ins. Has been linked in the past with us suppose to sign him in January for around £3 million. I reckon this might happen as Harry speaks high about him and could make him into a class defender.
Verdict: Hit
