Harry Redknapp admits he is disappointed by the lack of goals his Portsmouth players have been scoring. With the exception of Kanu, he thinks they have more goals in them.
‘Lualua can always cause defences problems with a bit of magic. But he’s got only two goals this season, and that’s not enough for a Premiership striker.
‘It’s lucky we bought Kanu, who has weighed in with a dozen goals. Goals have got to come from everywhere. It’s not just the strikers – you expect the midfield players to weigh in with goals, too.
‘Apart from Kanu, I don’t think anyone has scored as many goals as we would have hoped. That’s not a criticism, though, because we’ve done fantastically well this season. We’ve constantly punched above our weight.’
