‘Give Nadir Belhadj more of a chance this season, and as a left winger’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from moley2’s poll are thoughts that I do agree with to be honest, although I would also look to give another a chance too…

Belhadj looked ‘lost’ for the majority of the time he played for us after his partnership with Armand Traore was broken up – that was a fantastic pairing! The Herminator had to come in to strengthen us defensively though, even if this nullified the Algerian’s attacking ability.

That said the unpredictable Belhadj would then spring into life.

For me getting a full season, well near enough, under his belt will do him good and he should have picked up more of the language by now, which will also help. If we carry on working on his defensive qualities then we ‘could’ have a left sided Glen Johnson on our hands.

So, all in all I would totally agree that Belhadj as our left winger is the way to go this season, but – and here is the but – I would have Matty Ritchie waiting in the wings to step in as a sub when we can, or even replace him if needed. We must keep Ritchie here this season, and use him, who knows maybe the pair could rub off on each other and ‘maybe’ even be used as a pairing…

  • What the poll asked – Should Belhadj be given more of a chance next season, if so in what position?

  • How you voted – Left Wing 75%, Leftback 17%, Inside left midfield 5%, Or Benchwarmer 3%, Right Wing 0%, Behind the striker/’s 0%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys…
