Exeter v Pompey

Pompey returned to half meaningful action tonight, little after a week after returning to pre-season training.

Pompey started with a trialist identified only as ‘OJ’ up front, the vital detectives came up with the possibility of this being an ex-scum academy player called Omar OJ Krumah, Oj certainly started lively, a close effoert with a header and then winning the penalty for Defoe to score.

The game seemed a low-key affair on the radio, Glen Little sounded lively on his debut, Defoe missed a couple of chances he would expect to score, but players like Mvuemba and Cranie got some time on the pitch, as did Davis and Mendes after many thought they would be off by now.

The second half saw James replaced by an un-named American in goal whose only contribution was to pick the ball out of the net! Nugent seemed lively and Ben Sahar missed a good opportunity to win it.

One sight all Pompey fans would of been pleased to see was Linvoy Primus back in Pompey blue, he came through unscathed and got in a welcome 45 mins, even if he did contribute to Rob Edwards goal!

Swindon beckons on Friday night, Crouchie may make his second debut then, and Pompey may find some rythym.
