Portsmouth have successfully agreed a deal for Achille Emana, who has decided to move to the Premier League.
The deal for Emana is all set to go through after he agreed terms for a three-year contract. With the Toulouse player getting a further fourth year, if the club wish to extend the current deal.
Toulouse agreed a fee of ?4 million (£2.7 million) for the Cameroon international. The player will be unveiled once he has undergone a medical on Thursday at Fratton Park.
The player made 25 appearances for Toulouse last year, scoring twice.
Emana said, ‘The Premier League is a fantastic championship, it interests me a lot.’
Emana admits he is good friends with Pompey striker Benjani and he would love the chance to play with him.
‘I would like to bring to Portsmouth everything I can,’ he continued.
‘I have a close friend who plays there, Benjani. I would be happy to play with him, and I would discover a new team, new team-mates, a new staff.
‘It is the beginning of a new era for me and I wish to blossom there.”
