According to sky sports and what they ‘understand’ a deal has been agreed with Forest for Steve Cotterill.

They say: ‘Sky Sports sources understand Nottingham Forest have agreed a compensation package with Portsmouth for Steve Cotterill.

‘Forest are looking for a new manager following the resignation of ex-England boss Steve McClaren earlier this month.

‘Pompey boss Cotterill has been targeted to succeed McClaren and Sky Sports sources have learned Forest have now struck a deal with their Championship rivals to secure Cotterill’s services.’
