Finishing top of the league, here’s a run down on the men who got us there: Michael Smith.

STRIKER

Michael Smith (Played 18 (4 as Sub) Scored 3):

Another one who got a pretty tough time from fans. Cook’s first choice at the start of the season, he fell out of favour after failing to impress. But when he worked his way back into the team (thanks to an EFL Trophy hat-trick) he looked like a different player.

His hold up play was fantastic and won Man of the Match in 5 games out of 7. But a poor run of form saw Smith become the scapegoat, and with the addition of Eoin Doyle to the squad he left on loan to Northampton.
