Glen Little is another of those that is now officially off the Pompey payroll and his next move will be to spend 2-weeks with Sheffield United, which will include a spell in Malta, as he attempts to win himself a contract with Kevin Blackwell’s side.

The 33-year-old is going to train with them this week then head off to Malta with the side, taking part in a pre-season friendly they have organised over there.

I felt sorry for the veteran last season I must admit, who could blame him for jumping at the chance to return to the premier league at his age? Unfortunately injuries continued to work against him – although in all honesty this move to Pompey, and we had been after him for donkies years, probably came much too late in his career…

Good luck Glen, at least he will always be able to say that he played against the mighty Milan!
