Former Pompey coach Kevin Bond left a couple of times, only to return and he is looking to return to Fratton once again – but only to take some players on loan this time.

The Bournemouth gaffer is looking to borrow Canadian keeper Asmir Begovic, who is constantly being talked up by Harry Redknapp and others, defender Jason Pearce, who was down as one of the ‘players to watch out for’ last season – but this did not pan out as the papers thought and new signing Jean Francois Christophe.

Christophe only signed for Pompey a couple of weeks ago after impressing during pre season, but he was always signed with the view to sending him out on loan. Pearce has already been playing for the cherries during pre season and actually accidentally injured his own Pompey teammate John Utaka in our 4-1 win at Dean Court.

Bond is believed to be interested in completing these loan moves by the weekend so they can face Forest.

Another Pompey player that is being touted with a loan move to Bournemouth is Marc Wilson. He signed a new contract this summer, but the young midfielder is not going to play this season so returning to Bournemouth again for a spell on loan would do him good.

We have such a big squad now don’t we, with quality seemingly right the way through it, including a fair bit of young talent that needs nurturing – which will happen at places like Bournemouth.
