Best Keeper We’ve Had In Years

|

Quite a statement to make isn’t it? However, Craig MacGillivray is the best Pompey goalkeeper in sometime, isn’t he?

MacGillivray didn’t hide his delight at another clean sheet, three points at Coventry and the part the travelling fans played on the night.

Not only was the 1-0 victory at the Ricoh Arena seen as the “best away game in ages” the goalkeeper has been branded our best in years too.

Admittedly, I do feel for Luke McGee somewhat. I thought he had a decent debut season at Fratton Park, however, paid the price for some costly mistakes he made at times, which probably came about due to a lack of experience.

That being said, experience was needed and MacGillivray has plenty of this and it’s shown. I still rate McGee, but I can easily see why the former Shrewsbury man is no.1 at Fratton and viewed as the best stopper the Blues have had in recent times, as he is!

And the plaudits continued for MacGillivray.

Mentioned save is below.

Obviously, tongue in cheek, an England call has to be in the offing…

I think we’ve seen one or two have their moments in recent years, but, at this early stage of his Pompey career, I wouldn’t disagree with the thoughts MacGillivray is the best goalkeeper we’ve had in years, would you?
