The votes have been cast; with these counted and verified to confirm that last season’s Pompey performance was viewed as ‘below average’ but the Vital Pompey readers.

Given the chance to rate the 2013/14 season on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being low and 10 being high, the final finding of 4 clearly makes this a ‘below average’ way of thinking.

Is this fair?

Well, it could have ended up much worse than it ended – in the end it was a very good end to the season but all in all I think if you judge the season as a whole it would have been, at best, average so I would say 4 or 5 out of 10 is not unfair…

What the poll asked – How do you rate this season in the end (1 low 10 high)

How you voted – 4 – 33%
5 – 29%
6 – 24%
1 – 8%
3 – 2%
10 – 2%
7 – 2%
8 – 0%
9 – 0%
2 – 0%

Like I say, I basically agree with the VP voters on this but looking further forward I would be expecting ‘above average’ with a 6 at least next season with a 7 or 8 really the aim.

Thoughts?
