Milan Baros has completed his loan move to Pompey and will stay with us for the rest of the season, with us having an option to by the Lyon striker in the summer.

Harry Redknapp has tried to sign him in the past and has finally achieved what he had wanted. As he has told the Pompey Site he is happy with his signing: ‘it’s a terrific opportunity to have a look at him.

‘It’s a loan deal until the end of the season and then we’ll see how it goes from there.

‘He’s a good player who’s played at Liverpool and Aston Villa – and he’s been the golden boot winner at a European Championships.

‘He’s got pace and he makes good runs’.

He passed his medical today and will train with us for the first time tomorrow, so he should be in contention to make his debut against United on Wednesday.

To be honest I have nothing else to add here as I think that I have said more than enough on this issue over the past few days, but I will say again though that I think this is a fine signing, and with it being a loan we have almost nothing to lose.
