Portsmouth where phoned an hour before D`Alessandro completed his move to join Zaragoza. Peter Storrie has revealed Pompey had the chance to loan the player for another year with an option to sign him.

“We can loan him but it is still very expensive and the same comment from Harry, first he has to decide his options. Player and agent are asking for a lot of money loan or no loan and Harry is still looking at several other options in that position, we will have the final say.” Peter confirmed last night. (Friday)

Portsmouth agreed to let the player join Zaragoza before there “first option” ran out on the 30th of June.

‘When you start your football career you have various dreams and one of mine was to play in the Spanish league, which is the best,’ explained Andres.

Despite the above comments the player did want to sign for Portsmouth and his agent rang Pompey asking them for the last time to accept the players and agents wage demands.

Peter Storrie revealed that the agent`s fee demanded was “extraordinary” and that Portsmouth would have had to have paid 100% of the player`s wages plus a further 20%, this would have resulted in the contract being worth in the rejoin of 38k a week.

With Pompey turning to Thormet as the answer by paying for one of the most rated players in France. Vital Pompey would like to thank Andres for the memory`s and wish him all the best at his new club. (Greedy Bastard!)
