What a day?

A good sized crowd & at times an amazing atmosphere.

Sometimes the fans have to trigger the performance, but sometimes it’s the other way around. Yesterday both seemed to come together at the same time. Pompey played with energy right from the kick off & the “Andy Awford’s Blue & White Army” chants made my hair stand on end.

Interestingly, it was a massive result in terms of holding what we had. With everyone around us winning it was essential to win to preserve our 5 point cushion.

Massive performances (in my humble opinion anyway) from:

– Whatmough
– Ferry
– Holmes

Also well played Hollands & in the 2nd half Wallace.

Awford has them believing again & just as importantly perhaps the crowd in the stands too.

A big, big day. Well done everyone!!
